Jakarta (ANTARA) - PT Waskita Beton Precast Tbk (ticker code: WSBP) continues to strengthen its position in the national concrete and construction sector by participating in a number of tenders that are still running at the end of 2024. This tender process offers a total contract value of up to IDR 2.78 trillion. Of this value, the majority of tenders that WSBP participated in came from external customers, such as the government, state-owned enterprises, and the private sector amounting to Rp2.56 trillion. Meanwhile, internal tenders from parent company PT Waskita Karya (Persero) Tbk amounted to Rp220.97 billion.

“Through our participation in these tenders, we are optimistic that we can meet our 2024 target, which as of September 30 has been met by 75%,” said Sena Eka Hanafi, Head of WSBP's Sales Division.

This optimism is based on WSBP's win rate, which reached 26.35% of the total tenders. This win rate is considered quite good based on all existing tenders, both current and canceled tenders. With this win rate, WSBP is confident of meeting the remaining targets this year.

To mitigate financial risk, WSBP applies a selective approach in participating in project tenders. In this process, WSBP studies the business, legal, and financial profiles of prospective customers using the KYC (Know Your Customer) principle. WSBP selects projects and prospective customers that have undergone rigorous evaluation and are believed to have strong financial capacity and high credibility. Each prospective customer undergoes a thorough process, which includes an assessment of financial aspects, payment track record, and potential risks. These steps are taken so that each project undertaken has a stable financial foundation, thus supporting the sustainability of the company's business.

One of WSBP's latest achievements is winning the tender for the construction of the University of Islamic Unity (UNIPI) PERSIS Bandung. The project, located in Margaasih Village, Bandung Regency, is worth Rp117 billion and is carried out in collaboration with the Directorate General of Human Settlements of the Ministry of PUPR through the West Java Regional Settlement Infrastructure Center.

In this project, WSBP acts as the main contractor carrying out various works. As a manifestation of the company's vision to become a One Stop Solution in the integrated concrete industry, Construction and Modular and Supporting Equipment according to customer needs. WSBP is fully responsible for preparatory work to the implementation of the Occupational Health and Safety Management System (SMK3), structural work, architecture, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, infrastructure, and landscaping.

“We launched this strategy as a One Stop Solution to provide the best value for our customers. Along with this, we also always present innovations that increase efficiency for our customers,” added Sena.

The UNIPI PERSIS Development Project also has an important mission in improving educational facilities within state universities. With more adequate facilities, Universitas Persatuan Islam is expected to become a comfortable educational environment that supports students' academic and administrative activities.

Participating in various tenders is one of the efforts to add new contracts. As of September 30, 2024, WSBP managed to book NKB of Rp1.73 trillion, reaching 75% of the annual target of Rp2.3 trillion. This achievement increased significantly by 50.82% compared to the same period last year, where NKB was recorded at Rp1.15 trillion.

The increase in NKB was achieved through sales of WSBP's three main business lines that performed well, namely Readymix Products, Precast, and Construction Services. The Readymix business line contributed the largest NKB with Rp674.91 billion, followed by Precast Concrete with Rp624.93 billion, and Construction Services with Rp432.28 billion.

WSBP continues to be committed in executing each of its projects by applying Good Corporate Governance (GCG) principles and effective risk management. With this approach, WSBP ensures that every job is completed on time, within budget, and meets high quality standards.
