"We want to learn from China's experience about how it developed very rapidly in the last 30 years, especially in lifting (people from) poverty," President Prabowo remarked during the meeting held at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing.
During his state visit to China, in addition to holding a bilateral meeting with Premier Li, Prabowo is scheduled to meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping and Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress Zhao Leji.
"We will step up efforts to eradicate poverty in Indonesia, and we want to learn more from China's experience," the president remarked.
Moreover, President Prabowo seeks to intensify cooperation in education with China.
"We want to cooperate with China in education. We want to send more Indonesian students to study in higher education institutions in China, and we also want Chinese higher education institutions to be present in Indonesia," he emphasized.
He highlighted that several universities in Indonesia have established partnerships with foreign varsities, including with those in China.
"I would like to convey my gratitude for your support in our education sector," Prabowo noted.
Meanwhile, Premier Li stated that the meeting between Chinese President Xi and President Prabowo would result in a blueprint for developing China-Indonesia relations.
The blueprint is intended to serve as a foundation for the two countries to work together, implement a good path to modernization, and promote contributions to the region and the world toward shared prosperity.
