Prabowo headed for the UK and is scheduled to meet with King of the United Kingdom Charles III and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer.Jakarta (ANTARA) - Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto departed for the United Kingdom on Tuesday (November 19) local time after attending the G20 Summit in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
According to information provided by the Presidential Secretariat statement here on Wednesday, President Prabowo departed from the Galeao Airport in Rio de Janeiro at around 5:30 p.m. local time.
The president was seen boarding the presidential plane accompanied by Foreign Minister Sugiono and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya.
At the departure, President Prabowo was seen off by Indonesian Ambassador to Brazil, Edi Yusup and Defense Attaché of the Indonesian Embassy in Brasilia, Colonel of Infantry Rizal Ashwam Amanda.
Earlier, on November 18-19, President Prabowo had participated in the entire series of G20 Summit in Brazil as well as held bilateral meetings with several leaders of G20 member states and UN Secretary-General Antonio Gutteres.
Prabowo participated in bilateral meetings with Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu Hasan, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and French President Emmanuel Macron, among others.
In addition, Prabowo met with other leaders of MIKTA countries, including Mexico, South Korea, Turkey, and Australia.
He participated in the Indonesia-Brazil Business Forum and the G20 Summit at the Museum of Modern Art in Rio de Janeiro.
After Brazil, Prabowo headed for the UK and is scheduled to meet with King of the United Kingdom Charles III and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer.
As earlier reported, Prabowo voiced confidence in securing investment from the UK for Indonesia during a bilateral meeting with PM Starmer.
"After this, I will go to the UK and discuss economic issues. We may also attract investment," he noted during the sidelines of the G20 Summit on Sunday (November 17).
