Solo, Central Java (ANTARA) - Health Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin has vowed to complete the list of specialist doctors for the Emirates Indonesia Cardiology Hospital in Solo, whose construction is currently in its final stages.

During his visit to Solo, Central Java, on Saturday, he said he would bring several cardiologists from Dr. Sardjito General Hospital, Yogyakarta, to Emirates Indonesia Cardiology Hospital in Kentingan Jebres, Solo.

Sadikin spoke of having coordinated with Dr. Sardjito hospital regarding this matter.

According to the minister, this method is the most effective in enabling the Emirates Indonesia Cardiology Hospital to serve patients in less than three months.

"We have spoken with Dr. Sarjito Hospital, (and) the fastest way is to place experts and nurses from the hospital to Emirates Hospital in order for the hospital to operate immediately," Sadikin remarked.

In addition, his side did not plan to seek new, inexperienced doctors or those who have had too many practices.

He stated that the operation of the Emirates Indonesia Cardiology Hospital will be under the auspicious of the Health Ministry for two years. Further discussion regarding the operation of the hospital will be carried out later.

"After two years, we will discuss it again for the transition of the hospital," he stated.

The construction of the Emirates Indonesia Cardiology Hospital is funded by the United Arab Emirates Government grant of Rp230 billion (USD1 = around Rp15,943).

In October, the UAE Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, also inspected the hospital, where Acting Mayor of Solo, Dhoni Widianto, reported that the construction of the cardiovascular hospital is nearly complete.

"It is almost finished, with progress above 95 percent," he noted.

Apart from the hospital, the UAE Government grant also provided 25 X-ray devices in Indonesia, spread across 15 districts and cities in eight provinces prioritized for tuberculosis elimination by 2030.
