He arrived at the Presidential Palace at around 11 a.m. local time. After entering the palace, he signed the state guest book in the library.
He was then directed to the Presidential Hall, where he was welcomed by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi. The two leaders shook hands as a mark of diplomacy.
Then, Prabowo joined a photo session with other D-8 delegates from Bangladesh, Iran, Malaysia, Nigeria, Pakistan, and Turkey.
Prabowo will speak at the D-8 Summit plenary session themed "Investing in Youth and Supporting SMEs: Shaping Tomorrow's Economy." In addition, he will speak at special sessions on the situation in Palestine and Lebanon.
These sessions aim to strengthen Indonesia's diplomatic relations with partner countries.
During his activities at the 11th D-8 Summit, President Prabowo was accompanied by Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Arif Havas, and the Indonesian Ambassador to Egypt Lutfi Rauf.
Earlier on Wednesday, Prabowo held a bilateral meeting with Pakistani Prime Minister Sharif at the St. Regis New Capital hotel in Cairo, Egypt. The meeting reflected their commitment to strengthening bilateral relations.
On the same day, Prabowo also met with El-Sisi to discuss religious cooperation and collaboration on industry, technology, education, tourism, and defense.
