The minister opened the HKSN commemoration activities by carrying out community service with the local community.
During a working visit to Pringsewu District, the minister visited three locations for the HKSN commemoration: Margodadi Village Hall, Pringsewu Post Office, and Bumi Arum field.
While in Pringsewu on Friday (Dec 20), Minister Saifullah Yusuf said the visit was part of a series of events to commemorate National Social Solidarity Day (HKSN) 2024.
"In this HKSN commemoration, we also carried out a symbolic graduation of 32 beneficiary families (KPM) of social assistance," he remarked.
On that occasion, he commended the beneficiaries who successfully graduated from the ministry's social program and became more economically independent families.
He said that the beneficiaries who had "leveled up" received symbolic awards like the graduates.
"This is a real manifestation of the success of the Ministry of Social Affairs program in empowering the community. We hope that the number of graduates of this social program will increase in the coming years," he remarked.
He highlighted that in the commemoration, the ministry not only provided assistance but also prepared various health services.
"There are also general health services, such as blood pressure checks, cholesterol checks, eye health checks and free glasses, integrated health post services, and blood donation," he remarked.
In addition, the minister highlighted other offered facilities, such as a children's playground, distribution of basic necessities, an exhibition of products from Remote Indigenous Communities (KAT), a workshop on disaster mitigation, recycling waste into joint works by the Kumala Foundation, and mental health services.
