Those public kitchens will serve around 650 thousand children, pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers, and toddlers under the program, he added.
"The number continues to increase. Until April (2025), we are targeting to serve three million people. By August, it will be up to six million people," he said at a press conference at the Presidential Palace on Friday.
To achieve the target, President Prabowo Subianto summoned ministers and heads of institutions for a meeting on Friday to discuss synergy between all parties, especially in areas that have not received the assistance.
"The President wants this program to be cross-sectoral," Hindayana said.
According to him, Prabowo has also expressed concern over regions that have not launched the MBG program.
"Therefore, we are gathered to expedite this program," he said.

The meeting was also attended by commander of the TNI, General Agus Subiyanto; chief of the police, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo; and Army Chief of Staff, General Maruli Simanjuntak.
Minister of National Development Planning, Rachmat Pambudy; Minister of Home Affairs, Tito Karnavian; Minister of Cooperatives, Budi Arie Setiadi; Minister of Small and Medium Enterprises, Maman Abdurrahman; Minister of Finance, Sri Mulyani Indrawati; and Minister of Defense, Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin, also joined the meeting.
The participants of the meeting also included Minister of Villages, Yandri Santoso; Minister of Primary and Secondary Education, Abdul Mu'ti; Minister of State Secretary, Prasetyo Hadi; Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Sudaryono; and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya.
The Free Nutritious Meals program was initiated by Prabowo. On the first day of its official implementation on January 6, around 190 SPPGs were operated to supply meals to schools and integrated health posts in 26 provinces.
