Minister of Human Rights Natalius Pigai emphasized that the establishment of these integrity zones marks the first step in executing government duties with dignity.
"This is a starting point. Then, agencies need to carry out cooperation and commitment so that in the implementation of policies and programs, they will distance themselves from corruption, collusion, and nepotism," Pigai remarked here on Friday.
With the declaration of the integrity zone, the Ministry of Human Rights pledges to uphold transparent governance and accountability.
He highlighted that one form of commitment involves appointing personnel within the Ministry of Human Rights without nepotism and without being influenced by ethnic, religious, racial, and inter-group backgrounds.
Pigai noted that demonstrating anti-corruption integrity requires tangible actions that eschew corrupt practices, making evaluation an important benchmark.
In addition, he called on the public and related ministries and agencies to participate in monitoring the ministry's activities.
Meanwhile, Deputy Minister of State Apparatus Utilization and Bureaucratic Reform Purwadi Arianto remarked that the launch of the integrity zone by the Ministry of Human Rights is a strategic step toward creating a professional work culture and better public services.
"This is expected to improve public services and will continuously improve the units that will be developed in various regions," he noted on the same occasion.
He clarified that the predicates of WBK and WBBM are given to work units dedicated to fostering a transparent, professional, and public service-oriented work environment.
