KPK Spokesperson Tessa Mahardhika Sugiarto announced here, Tuesday, that on January 10, 2025, the KPK confiscated Rp350,865,006,126.78.
Furthermore, investigators seized USD6,284,712.77 from 15 accounts linked to the suspect and associated parties. Additionally, 2,005,082 Singapore dollars were also seized from an account tied to the case.
"These funds are suspected to have originated from criminal activities related to the case," Sugiarto stated.
The KPK is currently re-examining the case of gratuities received by Widyasari from companies involved in coal mining in Kutai Kartanegara District, East Kalimantan Province.
Simultaneously, the KPK is probing a money laundering case involving the former district head, who served from 2010 to 2015.
During the investigation, authorities seized 91 vehicles, five plots of land spanning thousands of square meters, 30 luxury watches from various brands, and other assets of significant value.
These assets are currently being secured at the KPK's State Confiscated Goods Storage House in Cawang, East Jakarta, and at several locations in Samarinda, East Kalimantan.
The KPK will meticulously trace the origins of these assets as part of the investigation. Through legal proceedings, these assets will be forfeited to the state to recover the proceeds of corruption.
In July 2017, Widyasari was sentenced to 10 years imprisonment for accepting gratuities amounting to Rp110,720,440,000 from an associate within the Kutai Kartanegara District administration.
She was also fined Rp600 million and faced an additional six months in prison if she failed to pay the fine.
