"Indonesia and Poland continue to strengthen cooperation in various fields, from education, culture, and research to women's empowerment and child protection," Arifah said in a statement in Jakarta on Thursday.
She made the statement when she was attending the 235th anniversary of the Constitution of May 3, 1791, held in Jakarta.
Arifah expressed her appreciation for the bilateral relationship between Indonesia and Poland that has existed over time.
According to her, collaboration between countries is key to facing global challenges and realizing equitable development for all people.
“Indonesia believes that international dialogue and cooperation can strengthen the protection of the community, especially women and children,” Arifah said.
“Indonesia and Poland continue to promote inclusive and humanitarian-oriented international cooperation, particularly in protecting vulnerable groups. Both countries also share a commitment to creating a peaceful, stable, and sustainable region,” she said.
Meanwhile, the Ambassador of Poland to Indonesia, Barbara Szymanowska, stated that Polish National Day is an important occasion to commemorate the Polish people's struggle to defend democracy, freedom, and human rights.
The ambassador highlighted the growing relationship between Poland and Indonesia through cooperation in trade, education, culture, and international forums, including the United Nations (UN) and the G20.
She noted that Indonesian products, particularly coffee and tea, are increasingly in demand among the Polish public.
She also explained that the Polish Constitution, adopted on May 3, 1791, was the first modern constitution in Europe and the second in the world.
According to her, the values of democracy and freedom continue to be the foundation of Poland's international relations to this day.
