Adita Irawati, the spokesperson of the Presidential Communication Office (PCO), conveyed this information while monitoring the implementation of the free screening program at a community health center in Jakarta on Monday.
"The president has not scheduled any monitoring activities today, as he prefers to conduct inspections spontaneously to get a more natural view of the situation," she explained.
Irawati added that through the inspection, President Prabowo aims to gain firsthand insight into the actual situation and conditions experienced by the community concerning the priority programs implemented by the government.
President Prabowo had earlier conducted inspections to check on priority programs in the Free Nutritious Meals program, which is one of the quick-win programs of the government.
Since the free meals program was rolled out in January 2025, President Prabowo has so far conducted two inspections at schools to directly observe its implementation.
The first inspection occurred on February 3 at an elementary school, kindergarten, and kitchen providing food for the program in Pulo Gadung, East Jakarta.
Meanwhile, the second inspection took place on Monday, February 10, in Bogor, West Java. One of the schools that he visited is the Kedung Jaya 1 Public Elementary School.
The free health screening program targets 280 million Indonesians, with the goal of ensuring equitable access to health services for all Indonesians.
Earlier, Irawati said President Prabowo Subianto is keen that the health screening program is on par with similar programs run by developed countries.
"The president said that we must also be valiant like other countries that currently have the same approach, with almost the same format. It has also been carried out in developed countries," she remarked in Jakarta on Friday (February 7).
