On Monday, President Prabowo Subianto enacted Presidential Decision No. 30 of 2025 on Danantara's board of advisors and executive board and Government Regulation No. 10 of 2025 on Danantara's organization and governance.
"They will serve as advisors, perhaps," PCO Head Hasan Nasbi said while responding briefly to questions on the role of leaders of public organizations in Danantara at the Presidential Palace complex here on Monday.
Nasbi also confirmed the possibility of former presidents serving as Danantara advisors, saying it was "the president's idea."
Although not divulging the detailed roles that the former presidents or the heads of public organizations will hold in Danantara's board of advisors, the PCO head remarked that such involvement reflected the government's commitment to accountability and transparency.

Their participation in Danantara will also comply with the Santiago Principles regarding best practices for the operations of sovereign wealth funds.
"To ensure accountability and transparency, as well as compliance with the Santiago Principle, we need national figures and principled individuals to serve as the agency advisors," Nasbi emphasized.
President Prabowo envisaged Danantara to be overseen by former presidents and leaders of religious organizations in the remarks he conveyed at the Great Indonesia Movement (Gerindra) Party's 17th-anniversary commemoration in Bogor last week.
"Danantara is the power and energy of the future that we must preserve together. Hence, I ask all my predecessors to serve as advisors in Danantara," he stated at that time.
"I also envisaged that, if necessary, the leaders of NU (Nahdlatul Ulama), Muhammadiyah, and KWI (Bishops' Conference of Indonesia), and other organizations also lend their hand to oversee Danantara," the president stated while referring to major Muslim and Catholic organizations in Indonesia.
