"We predict the peak of the homecoming flow during the Eid and Nyepi holiday will occur on March 28, or D-3 of Eid and D-1 of Nyepi," Jasa Marga President Director Subakti Syukur stated in a press conference on Tuesday.
His side projects the traffic volume during the peak of the Eid homecoming to reach 232 thousand vehicles, marking a 50 percent increase compared to the normal traffic volume.
"However, based on the regulations, we hope the figure is a nine percent decrease compared to the peak of the 2024 homecoming flow," Syukur remarked.
Meanwhile, Jasa Marga estimates the peak of the return flow to occur on April 6, or D+5 of Eid.
It is projected that the peak return flow traffic will reach 276 thousand vehicles, marking a 62 percent rise from normal levels and a 3 percent increase over last year's volume during the same period.
Jasa Marga projects the traffic volume of the homecoming flow through four main toll gates, namely the Cikampek Utama Toll Gate, Kalihurip Utama, Ciawi Toll Gate, and Cikupa Toll Gate, during the Eid and Nyepi holiday period to reach 2.18 million vehicles.
The projected homecoming traffic volume shows a 1.1 percent increase compared to the Eid period in 2024.
He explained that this figure takes into account the Work From Anywhere (WFA) arrangement from March 24 to 27, 2025.
Meanwhile, the return flow traffic volume entering Jakarta through the four main toll gates is expected to reach 2.29 million vehicles.
"We expect a 0.5 percent decrease in traffic volume compared to the 2024 Eid period. This scenario has been carried out by various ministries for quite some time. Hence, hopefully, this figure will be accurate," Syukur stated.
