"We received complaints from the public regarding these buildings, and they also caused flood in the environment," Hasan noted on Thursday after the sealing.
The first locations to be sealed were the Ciliwung Tea Factory in Telaga Saat, Hibisc Fantasy, the building of PT Perkebunan Nusantara (PTPN) I Regional 2 Gunung Mas Agro-tourism, and Eiger Adventure Land.
"Four today, tomorrow maybe more," he revealed.
Meanwhile, Nurofiq suggested potential criminal violations in these constructions, prompting an in-depth investigation by his team.
Based on the study's results, the four structures have contributed to significant flooding, resulting in substantial material damage and loss of life.
"The central government must not remain silent, and we must take a serious approach. If we continue to do this, the disaster in upstream and downstream will be quite large," Nurofiq stated.
He noted that the government will continue sealing unauthorized construction along the Ciliwung River Basin (DAS), starting from the upstream area in Puncak to the downstream in the Jakarta area.
Meanwhile, Governor Mulyadi aims to restore West Java's natural state based on spatial planning to protect the people of West Java and Jakarta from disasters.
"We will coordinate with the Jakarta governor as well because our region is connected. Most importantly, Jakartans should stop building villas in Puncak," he emphasized.
In response to widespread land conversion in Bogor District, Susmanto firmly revoked the authority of the regional work unit (SKPD) in the region to grant permits.
Susmanto would be more selective in issuing various permits, particularly for environmental projects in Bogor District.
"I am issuing a new regulation, namely returning the entire licensing process back to the regional head," he stated.
Currently, all permits must receive approval from the regional head after going through the mechanism in each SKPD with the Electronic Integrated Business Licensing System (OSS).
