Jakarta (ANTARA) - Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka emphasized that the presence of young talents who are willing and capable of collaborating with the government is key to achieving 8 percent national economic growth.

He has also stressed the importance of Indonesian youngsters supporting one another and working together to realize the eight national primary missions of President Prabowo Subianto, which are collectively called the Asta Cita.

At a collective iftar event hosted by the Indonesian Young Entrepreneurs Association (HIPMI) in Jakarta on Monday, Gibran said that Indonesians cannot afford to miss the opportunities presented by the demographic bonus the country is currently experiencing.

"This is our chance to boost our domestic productivity and usher in a golden era. I would like to stress that this chance is one of a kind and will never come again," he added.

He then pointed out that Indonesia is not immune to the varying impacts of global dynamics, such as geopolitical tensions and energy crises.

"These challenges are not to be taken lightly. To overcome them, we require innovations and breakthroughs, and it is often youths who can provide them by thinking out of the box. It should also be noted that technological advancements are inevitable," he said.

Additionally, the former mayor of Central Java's Solo encouraged HIPMI members to contribute to efforts to stimulate national economic growth.

"The HIPMI is one of the associations with a strategic role in national economic growth. I want you to focus on labor-intensive industries, embrace fishermen and farmers as well as micro, small, and medium enterprises, and prioritize environmental, social, and sustainability aspects," he said.
