Jakarta (ANTARA) - Deputy Minister of Tourism Ni Luh Puspa assessed that the Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII) Park management is ready to handle the increase in tourist visits during the Eid holiday period.

Puspa made this statement after inspecting the park facilities in East Jakarta on Tuesday (March 18).

"The TMII management has also organized parking areas and entrance points, with three entrance gates to be used, and they have arranged visitor distribution at various spots within TMII," she stated, as quoted in the ministry's press release here on Wednesday.

"In addition, the number of toilet facilities and transport services will be increased, including feeders and buses to access this area," she remarked.

During her visit to TMII, Puspa checked the renovation work on the amphitheater, visited the Bird Park, reviewed the construction of the Nusantara Food Court, and inspected the cleanliness of public restrooms.

The deputy minister noted that 36 vendors will be offering visitors an array of Indonesian dishes at the TMII Nusantara Food Court.

"Furthermore, during the Eid holiday, the amphitheater is ready for Indonesian art performances, such as the Kecak dance, Ramayana dance, and various festivals," she revealed.

She urged tourists planning to travel during the Eid holiday to use public transportation and to maintain cleanliness in tourist areas.

"To avoid congestion, prospective visitors to TMII can utilize the light rapid transit (LRT), as the TMII management has provided free feeders to access the TMII area. Currently, there are two, and two more will be added. If there is still demand, more will be added," she explained.

The TMII management aims to attract 100 thousand tourists to its park during the seven-day Eid al-Fitr holiday period, or from April 1 to April 6, 2025.
