Jakarta (ANTARA) - Indonesia's Ministry of Health has expressed its readiness to assist Eid al-Fitr holiday travelers in participating in the Free Health Screening program at health posts set up at terminals, ports, stations, and airports.

Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin said in Jakarta on Friday that travelers can opt to take part in the Free Health Screening program, particularly the expedited health screening package, which includes 10 examinations, such as tests for blood sugar, blood pressure, waist circumference, and cholesterol, among others.

"It is available at bus terminals, airports, ports, and also at several points along toll roads," he added after reviewing the implementation of the Free Health Screening program for ride-hailing taxi drivers in Jakarta.

People who wish to undergo a more comprehensive health check on their birthday can visit the nearest Puskesmas (Community Health Center), Sadikin said.

More than 1 million people have registered for the Free Health Screening program since its launch on February 10, according to the minister.

He added that the number has been increasing daily, currently reaching 90,000 participants per day.

Sadikin expressed hope that participation will continue to grow and surpass 50 million by 2025.

"Since this is the first year, out of the 50 million registrants, the daily participation should be around 150,000. So, we still need an additional 50,000 people per day," he said.
