Jakarta (ANTARA) - Ministries of Creative Economy and Trade have launched a collaborative initiative aimed at significantly expanding market access for Indonesian creative products, both domestically and internationally.

The partnership, formalized through a memorandum of understanding on Sunday, underscores the government's commitment to strategic intervention in fostering growth within the creative sector.

"This collaboration is a deliberate and concrete step by the government to amplify the creative economy's impact and navigate global market challenges," stated Minister of Creative Economy, Teuku Riefky Harsya.

"We are actively supporting joint efforts with the Trade Ministry to secure wider market opportunities for Indonesian creative products, extending their reach to the international arena."

To achieve this, the government is implementing a "hexahelix" collaboration strategy, actively engaging stakeholders from government, academia, finance, media, communities, and businesses in research, education, and industry protection.

This demonstrates a comprehensive, government-led approach to sector development.

Trade Minister Budi Santoso highlighted the government's direct role in facilitating international marketing.

"Our 33 trade representatives abroad will conduct monthly pitching sessions, providing a government-supported platform for creative economy players to introduce their products to global markets," he explained.

The Trade Ministry's data, showing export transactions by micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) reaching 5.2 million US dollars in January and 3.5 million US dollars in February 2025, reflects the tangible results of government-backed initiatives.

While acknowledging the ongoing development of export-ready MSME players, the government expresses optimism that this partnership will serve as a catalyst for increased confidence and success in global markets, showcasing the government's proactive role in driving growth.
