Jakarta (ANTARA) - Investment and Downstreaming Minister Rosan Perkasa Roeslani has expressed confidence that the newly announced members of the Danantara Investment Management Agency will contribute to efforts to improve the Indonesian economy.

"I am confident that these individuals bring trust. If Danantara is led by figures with strong reputations, this agency will signal positive changes in Indonesia's economy, ultimately benefiting all Indonesian citizens," he explained.

Roeslani, who is also the chief executive officer (CEO) of Danantara, made the statement in Jakarta after revealing the detailed organizational structure of the Indonesian sovereign wealth fund.

He reiterated that the individuals chosen to manage Danantara are trustworthy and possess the capacity to build public and business confidence in the agency and Indonesia's investment climate.

The CEO also assured the public that Danantara's members comprise figures with notable experience in financial and investment activities, both domestically and globally.

"None of these individuals were chosen through nepotism. Even President Prabowo Subianto did not propose any. We only submitted the names of the candidates, complete with their CVs, to the President, and he rejected none of them," he said.

Furthermore, Roeslani highlighted that the government conducted a lengthy and thorough selection before finalizing the full roster for Danantara, which was unveiled by President Prabowo on February 24, 2025.

He also indicated to the possibility of the organizational structure being expanded in the future, saying that he has chosen several more candidates. However, they are still discharging other responsibilities.

"This management structure is open to expansions, both in the number of advisers and officials at lower levels. We have already prepared more names, but we need those who are ready to work with us," he said.

Former prime minister of Thailand, Thaksin Shinawatra, and US investor and hedge fund manager Ray Dalio have been announced as members of Danantara's advisory board.
