While delivering a statement during a simultaneous rice harvest festival held in 14 provinces and centered in Majalengka, West Java, on Monday, President Prabowo emphasized that budget savings and effective use of state funds will be the top priority of his administration.
"I will work as hard as I can to ensure that every budget, every penny of the people's money, is felt by all Indonesians, especially those who need it most," he said.
He then stressed the importance of preventing budget leaks and strengthening supervision at all levels of government, from the central to the village level.
"There should be no more corrupt practices, no more misuse of public funds. The central government, provinces, districts, sub-districts, and villages must be clean," he said.
President Prabowo lauded the public's involvement in reporting alleged corruption cases, saying he often receives reports directly from remote areas.
"Sometimes it is tiring, but I receive reports directly from remote areas and I send a team to investigate. This technology is good," he added.
He also urged people not to hesitate to report suspected corruption by recording and sending evidence directly.
"If there is corruption, just record it and send it, so it can give a deterrent effect. It is public money, then it should be for the public," he said.
Prabowo also highlighted the importance of using the state budget to fulfill people's needs, such as repairing schools and improving irrigation infrastructure.
He said he is optimistic that with the spirit of collaboration and strengthened supervision, real changes will be seen soon.
