According to a statement from Prabowo’s office, the two leaders co-chaired a bilateral meeting attended by delegations from both nations.
"The meeting covered opportunities for strategic cooperation across various sectors," the office said in a press release on Monday.
Following the joint session, President Prabowo and the Emir held a one-on-one meeting in a cordial atmosphere to deepen their discussions.
The two heads of state then witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on strategic dialogues between the two governments.
As a gesture of respect, the Emir hosted a state luncheon for President Prabowo and his delegation. This high-level meal concluded the president’s official program at the palace.
Earlier in the day, the Emir welcomed President Prabowo with a state ceremony that included the playing of both countries' national anthems.
After the anthems, the leaders jointly inspected the honor guard before introducing their respective ministers and senior officials.
The Indonesian delegation included Minister of Foreign Affairs Sugiono, Minister of Defense Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin, and Minister of Investment Rosan Roeslani.
Qatar is the fourth stop on President Prabowo’s ongoing diplomatic tour of the Middle East, which has also taken him to the United Arab Emirates, Türkiye, and Egypt.
He is next scheduled to hold a bilateral meeting with Jordan’s King Abdullah II at Al Husseiniya Palace in Amman on Monday.
