Sugiono explained that the "Strategic Partnership for a Sustainable and Resilient Future" action plan for 2025-2029 includes a road map for bilateral cooperation in various fields, including economy, trade, and investment.
"Through the action plan, we hope there will be something bigger and more progressive that can be reached by our two countries," he remarked after a meeting with Rasmussen in Jakarta.
He noted that the action plan also includes a framework for strengthening collaboration in climate change and green energy transition, the environment, food and agriculture, good governance, culture, education, and tourism.
Sugiono underscored the action plan's significance in intensifying bilateral relations, noting Denmark's position as one of Indonesia's key partners in Scandinavia, especially in economic and trade collaboration.
He further highlighted that trade between Indonesia and Denmark surpassed US$400 million last year, marking a nearly 10 percent increase from the previous year.
Based on the action plan, Denmark is committed to supporting Indonesia, including providing coaching for Indonesian micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to meet export standards and access market opportunities in the European Union.
Denmark also agreed to enhance cooperation with Indonesia in waste management and the circular economy, which are the main programs in the action plan in the field of environment.
Earlier, Minister Rasmussen met with Indonesian Home Affairs Minister Tito Karnavian on Monday and agreed to strengthen cooperation in firefighting service innovation.
He also met with Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Bahlil Lahadalia and signed the third protocol to amend the memorandum of understanding (MoU) on renewable energy and energy conservation.
