The Nusantara Capital Authority (OIKN) reaffirmed its commitment to developing a sustainable and inclusive education sector in Nusantara (IKN), Indonesia's future seat of government under construction across parts of East Kalimantan Province.
"We are committed to developing the education sector in Nusantara City," Deputy for Funding and Investment at the OIKN Agung Wicaksono stated on Monday in North Penajam Paser, East Kalimantan.
He assured the public that OIKN remains determined to facilitate the inflow of capital into the city's education sector by providing technical, administrative, and basic infrastructural support to investors.
"Our efforts reflect OIKN's commitment to expediting the entry of investors into the education sector of Nusantara City," he affirmed.
Wicaksono emphasized that in addition to demonstrating legal certainty and sustainability in the city's development, the central government is dedicated to facilitating the permit process for entities seeking to invest in the education sector.
He stressed that high-quality educational facilities are crucial to supporting the planned transfer of civil servants to the future capital city.
In this context, the official revealed that Nusantara is currently developing a university and an international-level integrated school that will include elementary, junior high, and senior high levels.
Furthermore, he confirmed that the OIKN would build supporting infrastructure to ensure easy access to all sites developed by investors, showcasing its care for post-construction matters.
Wicaksono affirmed that his team would continue to take strategic measures to foster the creation of a growing and inclusive education sector in the future capital city.
"We will also continue overseeing the process of building a strong educational ecosystem, as we understand that human development is just as important as infrastructural development," he concluded.
