Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Hajj Fund Management Agency (BPKH) called for international collaboration to strengthen Islamic economics at the Global Islamic Financial Institutions Forum 2025 in Dubai.

"BPKH showed its presence as a key player in the global Islamic financial ecosystem through its significant participation in the global Islamic financial forum," Chief of the Executive Board of BPKH Fadlul Imansyah noted in his statement on Friday.

Imansyah was among the speakers at the CEO panel discussion session themed "Bridging borders, fuelling growth: The next era of cross-border in Islamic banking."

The discussion highlighted the urgent need for international cooperation to reinforce the foundation of Islamic banking and streamline the mobility of the Muslim community's funds worldwide.

He emphasized that BPKH's participation in this forum, organized by global bank Standard Chartered, is tangible evidence that the Hajj funds managed by the agency are not only guaranteed in terms of safety but are also allocated productively and have a positive impact.

Imansyah expressed his appreciation to the market players attending the forum for providing valuable insights for BPKH to increase the value of the benefits of Hajj funds.

He also highlighted the strategic role of BPKH Limited, a subsidiary of BPKH, as a representation of collaboration that should be continuously developed to optimize the management of Hajj funds.

He ensured that the BPKH would continue to innovate in managing Hajj funds by upholding Islamic principles, transparency, and accountability.

The BPKH also remains open to various strategic cooperation opportunities with various parties at the international level.

Meanwhile, CEO of Standard Chartered Islamic Banking, Khurram Hilal, invited Islamic economics players in Indonesia, including the BPKH, to build strategic partnerships with global Islamic financial institutions, especially those in the Middle East.

This step is expected to further strengthen Indonesia's position as one of the centers of the world's Islamic finance.
