While issuing a joint statement with PM Shinawatra, Prabowo conveyed the two countries' stance on promoting peace in Myanmar.
"Indonesia appreciates Thailand's constructive role, especially in involving neighboring countries to find a peaceful solution in Myanmar and facilitating dialogue between all parties," he said at Government House, Bangkok, Thailand, on Monday.
He then emphasized Indonesia's support for inclusive dialogues to accelerate the achievement of peace and stability in Myanmar.
On the same occasion, PM Shinawatra also conveyed Thailand and Indonesia's support for Malaysia's ASEAN leadership in finding common ground and realizing peace in Myanmar.
"We share the same interest in the Myanmar issue. We will also work with Malaysia as the chair of ASEAN this year to restore peace in Myanmar and stop the war," she said.
As the chair of ASEAN this year, Malaysia will conduct the 46th ASEAN Summit in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on May 26–27.
The summit will be attended by 10 member countries, namely host Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Brunei Darussalam, the Philippines, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, and Myanmar.
Timor-Leste, which is currently in the process of gaining full ASEAN membership, will also join the meeting.

The civil war in Myanmar has been going on since 2021, when the military orchestrated a coup against the legitimate democratic government and arrested Aung San Suu Kyi.
The military coup prompted civilians in Myanmar to join armed guerrilla groups to fight the military and overthrow the military junta government.
Several ethnic groups in Myanmar are also fighting the military for independence from the nation.
The crisis has been worsened by the 7.7-magnitude earthquake in Sagaing-Mandalay on March 28, 2025. The earthquake claimed the lives of more than two thousand people, injured thousands more, and destroyed thousands of buildings.
The earthquake was felt in neighboring countries, including Bangladesh, Thailand, and China.
Indonesia has sent aid packages, deployed search and rescue (SAR) teams, as well as medical teams from Basarnas and the TNI to help Myanmar.
