BNPT Acting Deputy for Enforcement and Capacity Development, Brigadier General Wawan Ridwan, remarked that the training aimed to strengthen preparedness and operational capacity to anticipate potential acts of terrorism, especially in Bali.
“This activity is a pre-emptive and preventive measure to address the potential threat of terrorism by strengthening the preparedness of all state apparatus across various sectors,” Ridwan noted in a written statement received here on Thursday.
He emphasized the need for heightened vigilance in Bali, given its status as a leading destination for foreign tourists and a frequent host of national and global events.
Accordingly, the integrative mitigation training supports BNPT’s mandate to keep boosting national preparedness and enhance the capabilities of security personnel.

He explained that as the leading agency for counterterrorism in Indonesia, the BNPT is responsible for advancing national preparedness through various training and capacity-building programs.
He noted that this integrated training represents cross-sectoral collaboration to develop a resilient and responsive terrorism mitigation system.
Meanwhile, the training instructor, Second Inspector I Gede Sudiana, highlighted the importance of cross-sectoral coordination in addressing chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear threats, which were among the training's focuses.
Cooperation among government agencies with different standard operating procedures (SOPs) is crucial to achieve shared understanding and ensure a quick, coordinated response during incidents.
