Based on ANTARA's observation, Premier Li Qiang and his delegation’s vehicle was greeted by an honor guard, the Presidential Security cavalry, and hundreds of students from junior high and senior high schools along the route from the National Monument (Monas) to the Merdeka Palace.
The students enthusiastically waved the flags of Indonesia and China, adding to the lively atmosphere of the delegation’s arrival.
At 10 a.m. local time, Premier Li and his delegation entered the area of the Merdeka Palace, where they were warmly welcomed by hundreds of elementary and junior high school students who waved Indonesian and Chinese flags.
President Prabowo directly welcomed Premier Li as soon as he alighted from his vehicle.
The two leaders exchanged a warm handshake before walking together to the official podium for the welcome ceremony.
The ceremony began with the national anthems of both countries being played. During the procession, the booming of 19 cannons was heard as a mark of honor for the Chinese Premier’s official visit.
President Prabowo and Premier Li then inspected the honor guard lined up at the Palace field. Afterward, a session introducing the delegations from both countries took place before continuing the agenda inside the Merdeka Palace.
Several ministers and officials accompanying President Prabowo during the welcome ceremony included Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto, Minister of Defense Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin, Minister of State Secretariat Prasetyo Hadi, Chairman of the National Economic Council (DEN) Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, and Indonesian Ambassador to China Djauhari Oratmangun.
President Prabowo then invited Premier Li to enter the Credential Room for a photo session and to sign the state guestbook as a symbol of friendship between the two countries.
The two leaders then held a bilateral meeting attended by delegations from both countries.
This meeting showed the commitment of both nations to strengthen and enhance their bilateral relations and to foster cooperation in various strategic fields.
