Indonesia's stance on Palestinian independence aligns with the two-state solution that Indonesia supports to realize peace between Palestine and Israel.
"In various places and forums, I have conveyed Indonesia's stance on the two-state solution. Independence for the Palestinian people is the only way to achieve true peace," he remarked during his joint statement with French President Emmanuel Macron in Jakarta on Wednesday.
Moreover, Prabowo voiced Indonesia's readiness to increase its peacekeeping troops' contributions in the region.
Indonesia is currently one of the countries that sends the most troops to guard the Lebanon-Israel border area with the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL).

The Palestinian issue was one of the topics discussed by Prabowo and Macron during their meeting at the Merdeka Palace.
During their discussion, Prabowo stated that Indonesia and France shared the same stance in supporting Palestine's independence and called for the Israeli military to cease its operations in Gaza.
Prabowo also stated that both countries urged Israel to allow uninterrupted humanitarian aid into Gaza.
He then drew attention to France and Saudi Arabia's plans to hold a summit on Palestine and a two-state solution as a step towards peace.
"We support the plan of France and Saudi Arabia to hold a summit, a high-level conference, in June to encourage the completion of a two-state solution and realize peace in the Middle East region," he disclosed.
