Makkah (ANTARA) - Religious Affairs Minister Nasaruddin Umar stated that several countries have praised the discipline of Indonesian Hajj pilgrims during the Hajj pilgrimage in the Holy Land.

He remarked that the praise was delivered directly by religious affairs ministers from several friendly countries, including India, Pakistan, and the Philippines.

"They even want to learn from Indonesia," Nasaruddin stated here on Wednesday.

The minister stressed that these countries are keen to emulate Indonesia's Hajj management system. They said Indonesia sends the largest number of pilgrims, yet they remain the most organized during the Hajj pilgrimage.

"Religious affairs ministers from India and Pakistan said Indonesia is very inspiring," Nasaruddin stated.

He noted that Egypt and Jordan also expressed their appreciation. The Jordanian minister of religious affairs also praised the patience of the Indonesian pilgrims.

"We are considered patient and orderly, and we deserve appreciation," Nasaruddin stated.

The Saudi Arabian government also offered praise. Every year, Indonesia receives an award from the Saudi Kingdom, which recognizes the smooth running of Indonesia's Hajj operations.

"Saudi Arabia really appreciates us. Every year, we have always been praised," he remarked.

For this reason, the minister expressed gratitude to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, noting that Saudi attention to Indonesian pilgrims is exceptional.

"Special attention is always given to our pilgrims," he remarked.

The Saudi Kingdom's special attention is evident in its support for health services.

"No other ambulance could enter the tent area, except Indonesia's. Once again, we thank the Saudi Arabian government," the minister stated.

He regarded the ambulance service as vital for the safety of the pilgrims. "The ambulance saved many lives," he remarked.

He noted that the ambulance service was particularly effective during the peak of Hajj in Arafah. The minister emphasized that the ambulance service was provided to Indonesian pilgrims due to solid cross-sector cooperation.

He said Indonesia's Hajj operations were supported by all elements of the nation, including Hajj officers, the government, and other related institutions.

He stated that this synergy is the key to the success of Indonesia's Hajj services. The minister also praised the pilgrims' awareness of following the Hajj rules. "Without their discipline, nothing can go well," he pointed out.

Nasaruddin is upbeat that recognition from other countries will motivate pilgrims. He also seeks continued improvement of Hajj services in the future. "This is a big responsibility and mandate for us," he remarked.
