Jakarta (ANTARA) - President Prabowo Subianto invited both domestic and international private companies to participate in Indonesia’s national infrastructure development, citing that private-built projects tend to be more efficient and modern.

Delivering his remarks at the 2025 International Conference on Infrastructure (ICI) held at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC) on Thursday (June 12), the president highlighted that the private sector is more timely and cost-efficient in completing infrastructure projects.

“Therefore, I am inviting the private sector, both domestic and international, to be fully involved, as extensively as possible in infrastructure,” President Prabowo stated.

He emphasized the need to strengthen the role of the private sector in national infrastructure development. Meanwhile, the government will focus on addressing social issues such as poverty, hunger, and education.

To attract more investment, President Prabowo has vowed that his administration would create a conducive and secure investment climate, enabling private companies to participate actively in infrastructure projects nationwide.

He stated that the government is committed to simplifying licensing processes, facilitating project implementation, and maintaining stability to ensure uninterrupted infrastructure development.

“I welcome the establishment of centers or offices aimed at facilitating projects. We provide assistance and security so that no major development plans are disrupted,” the president affirmed.

The head of state remarked that the budget efficiency policy implemented earlier this year has provided the state with sufficient fiscal space to invest alongside private partners, offering reassurance to investors.

“When we explore cooperation with the private sector or foreign investors, we are brave. The government will contribute a percentage, not by asking for free shares, but by putting in real capital, real money,” Prabowo stated.
