This was conveyed by IWbA chairperson Aang Sunadji during the signing of a memorandum of understanding on the implementation of the Asian Cup Woodball Championship 2025 in Jakarta on Monday.
He said that the championship will see participation from 15 countries, with each country sending 10 athletes.
Indonesia, as the host, is determined to be the event’s overall champion with four gold medals, he added.

Sunadji informed that the woodball championship will feature events that will also be competed in the upcoming 2025 SEA Games in Thailand, namely stroke, fairway, and team.
The championship will also be an important opportunity for Indonesian woodball athletes to test their abilities in preparation for the SEA Games.
He said that the IWbA is optimistic Indonesia will achieve the best results, considering its woodball capabilities have been tested at the international level.
Sunadji noted that after emerging as the world champion in 2019, Indonesia managed to win gold medals in the 2024 World Cup Woodball Championship.
“These results made us optimistic to face tournaments going forward, including the Asian championship and SEA Games,” he added.
Monday’s event was attended by president of the International Woodball Federation (IWBF), Sean Chi-Hsiang Weng, and vice president of the Asian Woodball Federation (AWBF), NG Lai Ling, among others.
