Jakarta (ANTARA) - Public satisfaction with traffic services provided by the Indonesian National Police (Polri) has increased from 84.83 to 94.92 percent, according to Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform Minister Rini Widyantini.

In a statement issued here on Thursday, she said that this positive trend is a testament to Polri’s commitment to enhancing professionalism, maintaining a humane approach, and adopting technology to improve services.

“This increase is the tangible result of the hard work and dedication demonstrated by officers from Polri’s Traffic Corps in providing the finest services to the people,” she added during a discussion at Polri’s College of Police Science (STIK) in Jakarta on Thursday.

Widyantini noted that the favorable public satisfaction level stems from the police’s improved administrative services, quick response to traffic accidents, and more humane legal enforcement measures.

The Traffic Corps has also gained public trust by bolstering transparency and making important information more accessible, she added.

The minister further said that the achievement must push the institution to continue enhancing its responsiveness and effectiveness.

Head of the Traffic Corps, Inspector General Agus Suryonugroho, emphasized his determination to continue improving his unit’s services and performance.

He said he views the rise in public satisfaction as a stimulus for the Traffic Corps to reaffirm its position as a modern, adaptive, and trustworthy institution that stands ready and capable of ensuring safety and security on the road.

“This development has challenged us to continue improving and to ensure people’s safety and comfort in travel. The safety of travelers remains our top priority,” he added.
