Lamongan, Jawa Timur (ANTARA) - The Lamongan District Government hosted the Megilan Entrepreneur (Megpreneur) 2025 program on June 23-25 as part of its efforts to cultivate competitive young entrepreneurs and stimulate regional economic growth.

Lamongan District Head Yuhronur Efendi emphasized that this program is more than just an annual ceremonial event.

It reflects the local government’s commitment to developing human resources and strengthening the economic sector.

He described Megpreneur as a flagship initiative consistently dedicated to nurturing young entrepreneurs and equipping them with practical business strategies.

A total of 200 participants, representing 134 teams, had passed an online selection process held on June 11–12, 2025.

During the Megpreneur 2025 event, participants received mentorship on a range of topics, including business legality, access to bank financing, marketing strategies, product differentiation, and experience-sharing sessions with business practitioners.

Yuhronur also underscored the importance of discipline and strong character in the entrepreneurial world, stating that a resilient mindset is a key foundation for business success.

Meanwhile, Etik Sulistyani, Head of the Lamongan Office for Cooperatives and Micro Enterprises, stated that the Megpreneur program also contributes to improving the quality of new entrepreneurs, which is vital for post-pandemic economic resilience.

She remarked that Lamongan’s MSMEs are becoming increasingly competitive, with 11 products qualifying for prestigious exhibitions, six products securing partnerships with Hong Kong-based partners, and 10 others already distributed through national retail networks.
