“I view this facility as a breakthrough and a remarkable achievement in our journey toward providing high-quality health services comparable to those available abroad,” he said during the inauguration ceremony in Denpasar on Wednesday.
In a speech streamed online by the Presidential Secretariat in Jakarta, he expressed confidence that the center, which was built in collaboration with South Korea, would significantly contribute to the national economy.
He added that the NSWAC reflects the success of international cooperation, as it not only offers new medical services for Indonesians but also foreigners.
“From what I have observed, this cooperation is excellent, as this health center has already drawn patients from other countries. Moreover, it is equipped with high-quality facilities powered by cutting-edge technology,” he said.
The President then praised all stakeholders involved in developing the NSWAC, emphasizing its value as a new asset for the country. He also expressed interest in receiving treatments at the health center.
Built as part of the Prof. Dr. I.G.N.G. Ngoerah Central Public Hospital, the NSWAC provides a wide range of advanced services, including plastic surgery, dermatology and aesthetic treatments, dental care, and comprehensive medical check-ups.
According to a statement released by the Presidential Secretariat, the facility is expected to become a symbol of Indonesia’s healthcare transformation, while enhancing Bali’s appeal as a destination for medical tourism.
After opening the health center, President Prabowo toured several of its rooms and facilities.
He was accompanied by Health Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya, among others.
