Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Indonesian Air Force (TNI AU), in cooperation with the Ministry of Transportation, will work to develop a national transportation system.

The collaboration was discussed during a meeting between the Chief of Staff of the Indonesian Air Force (KSAU), Air Chief Marshal Muhamad Tony Harjono, and Minister of Transportation Dudy Purwagandhy at the Indonesian Air Force Headquarters in Cilangkap, East Jakarta on Friday.

According to an official statement from the Air Force received on Saturday, the meeting addressed several key issues.

"We specifically discussed the development of transportation, particularly in the aerospace sector," Head of the Indonesian Air Force Information Service, First Marshal I Nyoman Suadnyana, stated when confirmed in Jakarta regarding the meeting.

In addition, the Air Force expressed its commitment to cooperating with the Ministry of Transportation to improve the quality of Indonesia's aircraft fleet.

When questioned about the specifics of the cooperation scheme between the Air Force and the Ministry, I Nyoman stated that he was not yet able to share additional details.

Also present at the meeting were officials from the Ministry of Transportation.

Meanwhile, the Air Force Chief of Staff was accompanied by Deputy Air Force Chief Marshal TNI Tedi Rizalihadi, Commander of National Air Operations Major General TNI Minggit Tribowo, and other TNI AU officials.
