Jakarta (ANTARA) - Social Affairs Minister Saifullah Yusuf, on Wednesday, reviewed the two-day simulation for Sekolah Rakyat (People's School), which will operate 24 hours a day before classes begin on July 14.

The simulation will take place over two days, on July 9-10, 2025, where the students will stay in the provided dormitory.

"We are conducting a simulation for Sekolah Rakyat, running 24 hours a day, starting today," he stated on Wednesday.

Yusuf explained that the 75 junior high school students participating in the simulation will be divided into three study groups, each with 25 students.

The minister elaborated that during the simulation, students will undergo health checks, receive uniforms, and participate in an introduction to the school environment.

His side will also trial the digital learning system based on the Learning Management System (LMS) and talent mapping.

Talent mapping was conducted through an AI-based DNA test developed by ESQ Leadership Founder Ary Ginanjar, the minister noted.

Yusuf remarked that this tool is expected to assist teachers to better understand students' potential and will be provided free of charge for Sekolah Rakyat.

"This device can help us quickly identify students' interests and talents. This will enable teachers to better guide students at the school," he remarked.

The ministry is also collaborating with the Health Ministry to conduct health checks for students.

Any student who becomes ill will be treated until recovery and will return to school as soon as possible, Yusuf explained.

Sekolah Rakyat is a program initiated by President Prabowo Subianto to meet the educational needs of children from underprivileged families.

The school adopts a boarding school model and will offer free education for elementary, middle, and high school students.

This year, as many as 100 pilot schools for Sekolah Rakyat across Indonesia are ready to begin operations in stages, with 63 units commencing education activity on July 14 and 37 more to follow at the end of the month.
