Operator PT MRT Jakarta (Perseroda) said that 21,053,246 passengers utilized its public transportation services during the period from January to June 2025.
Head of the corporate secretary division of PT MRT Jakarta, Ahmad Pratomo, said in Jakarta on Friday that this figure translates to an average of about 116,465 passengers daily.
On average, there were 143,861 passengers on weekdays (Monday–Friday) and 74,579 passengers on the weekends (Saturday–Sunday).
Pratomo expressed optimism that PT MRT Jakarta will meet its target of serving 43 million passengers, with a daily average of 117 thousand, by the end of 2025.
The achievement in mid-2025 marks a significant increase compared to the previous year.
Between January and June 2024, MRT Jakarta recorded 18 million customers, with a daily average of 101 thousand passengers.
According to Pratomo, this consistent growth is a positive indicator of people’s increasing reliance on public transportation for their daily commutes.
“PT MRT Jakarta expresses its appreciation for the public’s enthusiasm for using the Jakarta MRT for their daily mobility,” he added.
Tracking innovations and digital trends, MRT Jakarta has integrated several lifestyle features into its smartphone application.
Service users can now purchase travel tickets, redeem points for promotions, and even watch movies or play mobile games directly on the Jakarta MRT app.
These features have been designed to provide a comprehensive and enhanced customer experience to passengers.
