Imam Bahri, head of the Wonosobo Immigration Office, said on Friday that the operation — named Wirawaspada — took place over two days this week and was carried out simultaneously across Indonesia.
He described the effort as a preventive measure to address potential immigration violations and strengthen law enforcement to safeguard national stability and security.
"The operation also aims to deter violations by foreign nationals and build public confidence in immigration authorities," Bahri added.
In Central Java, the Wonosobo office carried out inspections in five regencies and cities, including Magelang.
"Our teams monitored various sites, such as tourist areas around Borobudur Temple in Magelang and workplaces employing foreign nationals," Bahri said.
Companies visited during the operation included Known-You Seed Indonesia and Java Wood Industry.
Officers reviewed immigration documents of foreign workers, provided outreach on immigration regulations, and held discussions with company representatives and expatriates to improve awareness and compliance.
No violations were found during the operation. All foreign workers had valid documents and residence permits. Similarly, inspections of tourists at Borobudur Temple uncovered no irregularities.
These findings, Bahri noted, reflect a strong level of compliance among foreign nationals under the Wonosobo Immigration Office's jurisdiction.
