“Apparently, many of our children today have no longer known national songs. I was quite saddened when I asked some children about the song Halo-halo Bandung, they did not know it. The same with Berkibarlah Benderaku, they did not know it,” she said here on Sunday.
She conveyed this concern during a car-free day event commemorating National Children’s Day 2025 in Jakarta.

“So earlier, along the route from the Ministry of Religious Affairs to the HI Roundabout, we sang national songs together,” she informed.
She explained that the 41st National Children’s Day in 2025 would no longer be centralized in one city but celebrated simultaneously across regions throughout Indonesia.
“We are taking a different approach to this year’s National Children’s Day celebration. In previous years, it was centralized, with representatives of children from all over Indonesia gathering in one city," she elaborated.
She continued, "Now we have changed (the celebration) to a decentralized version, so the celebration takes place in every school across the country, allowing all children to feel the joy of National Children’s Day."
Meanwhile, the summit commemoration of the 41st National Children’s Day will be held in Indragiri Hulu, Riau Province, on July 23, with several main activities including great children's gymnastics, traditional games, arts, national songs, storytelling, and free health check-up.
