"Based on data from the health team, 57 passengers are currently receiving treatment in hospitals," Hasibuan remarked in Manado on Monday.
The 57 passengers being treated are spread across several hospitals in Manado City and North Minahasa District.
The referral hospitals for medical treatment of the KM Barcelona V fire victims are Walanda Hospital in Maramis, Tonsea Hospital in Airmadidi, Lembean Hospital, Bhayangkara Hospital, and Bhayangkara Hospital.
Additionally, ODSK Hospital, Siloam Hospital, Sentra Medika Hospital, Awaloei Hospital, and Manado City Hospital are also treating victims.
"We have involved the North Sulawesi Regional Police health team to monitor the progress of the passengers," he remarked.
As reported earlier, the KM Barcelona V caught fire in the waters off Talise, North Minahasa District, while sailing from the Talaud Islands District to Manado City.
Search and rescue teams from various agencies, including the Maritime Security Agency (Bakamla), the National Search and Rescue Agency (Basarnas), the Indonesian Navy (TNI AL), the Indonesian Army (TNI AD), the North Sulawesi Regional Police (Polda Sulut), the ship operator, the transportation agency, fishermen, and the community, helped evacuate the victims.
According to the Manado Basarnas Command Post, 571 people were involved in the transportation accident, including 568 survivors and three fatalities.
The Bhayangkara Hospital in Manado has released the bodies of the three deceased victims to their families following identification.
