On her Instagram account, Indrawati noted that the agreement was formalized through cooperation pacts signed between her ministry’s Directorate General of Taxes and ESDM Ministry’s Minerals and Coal Directorate General, as well as the Special Task Force for Upstream Oil and Gas Business Activities (SKK Migas).
“This cooperation covers data exchange and utilization, the use of tax clearance certificates for obtaining mining business permits, capacity-building initiatives, and coordination in drafting contracts and profit-sharing schemes in oil and gas,” she wrote in the post cited here on Friday.
The two agreements were signed during Minister Lahadalia’s visit to the Finance Ministry, where he and Indrawati discussed challenges faced in the oil, gas, and mining sectors and ways to address them effectively.
The state treasurer stated that she and the ESDM minister held in-depth discussions about increasing state revenue from oil and gas.
In addition, the two ministers discussed practical measures to enhance the efficiency and monitoring of energy subsidies and to boost the mining sector’s contribution to the national economy.
“We are on the same page about the need to improve governance to strengthen our fiscal foundations and deliver greater benefits for the public,” Indrawati remarked.
She expressed hope that synergy between the Finance and ESDM ministries would lead to more efficient, accountable, and impactful management of Indonesia’s energy and mineral resources.
On Wednesday (July 30), Minister Lahadalia announced that Indonesia’s oil lifting had reached 608 thousand barrels per day, surpassing the state budget target of 605 thousand barrels daily for the first time.
