General Manager of the airport Ahmad Syaugi Shahab informed that as of Saturday afternoon, six flights had been delayed and one had been postponed.
“Some of the domestic flights that experienced delays included three flights from Batik Air to Labuan Bajo, one flight from Wings Air to Tambolaka, and two Lion Air flights from Denpasar to Kupang,” he informed.
Meanwhile, AirAsia had to postpone its flight from Denpasar to Labuan Bajo, Shahab added.
No international flights were affected by the eruption, which was recorded at 1:05 a.m. on Saturday, he said.
Shahab assured that overall operations at I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport were running normally.
“However, we are monitoring the current situation to ensure the safety and security of flight operations,” he said.
His party has prepared waiting rooms and is collaborating with airlines to inform passengers regarding the affected flights.
In addition, airlines are providing services to passengers requiring rescheduling or refunds.
“We will continue to coordinate with all relevant stakeholders to ensure smooth passenger and flight services at I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport, and we hope conditions will return to normal soon,” Shahab said.

On Friday, incandescent flames exploded from Mount Lewotobi Laki-laki, with the volcanic ash column reaching a height of 10 kilometers from the active crater.
Head of the Geological Agency, Muhammad Wafid, said that the eruption was recorded on a seismograph with a maximum amplitude of 47.3 millimeters and duration of approximately three minutes and 40 seconds.
Another eruption was recorded at 1:05 a.m. local time on Saturday. The Center for Volcanology and Geological Hazard Mitigation (PVMBG) under the Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Ministry said that the volcanic ash column reached approximately 18 km above sea level.
The ash appeared gray to black, with thick intensity, and drifting toward the southwest, west, and northwest.
The eruption was recorded on a seismograph with a maximum amplitude of 47.3 millimeters and lasted approximately 14 minutes and 5 seconds. A rumbling sound and loud booming noise were reported at the Lewotobi Laki-laki Volcano Observation Post during the eruption.
