"We have closed them because they were proven to have polluted the environment through the iron smelting process and the hazardous and toxic materials they used," Minister of Environment Hanif Faisol Nurofiq stated after inaugurating the Blue Sky Task Force and launching the "Return Our Blue Sky" movement in Tangerang City on Saturday.
Nurofiq stated that the two companies are currently under investigation, and the KLH will provide assistance to ensure that any sanctions imposed comply with applicable regulations. This is especially important for companies operating without the necessary permits.
He stated that the KLH is taking a firm stance against companies found to have polluted the environment, setting an example for others to always follow the rules.
Furthermore, the KLH has deployed teams to other areas to conduct monitoring and follow up on reports from concerned residents.
"While the president has entrusted us with this opportunity, we will make the most of it to provide the best for the community. Therefore, we invite the Tangerang City Environmental Agency (DLH) to actively monitor and take action," he remarked.

The environmental agency conducted chimney emission testing in the Jatake industrial area last week, and Minister Hanif said he expects to receive the results next week.
After reviewing the report, his office will determine further actions based on any findings, including recommendations to the Tangerang City Blue Sky Task Force to act decisively.
"To the Blue Sky Task Force, never be afraid. Take firm action if violations are proven. The Ministry of Environment is ready to provide assistance," he affirmed.
Tangerang Mayor Sachrudin added that monitoring of fossil fuel industries has been planned and will take place from September to December 2025.
"This activity includes inspections of factories or industries that still use fossil fuels to ensure compliance with emission standards and encourage transition to more environmentally friendly energy," he stated.
