WIKA Beton’s pivotal role in this project has drawn the attention of representatives from PT Maybank Sekuritas Indonesia and BPJS Ketenagakerjaan—one of WIKA Beton’s shareholders—who visited the project site to directly observe the progress of construction. This visit served as tangible evidence of stakeholders' support for WIKA Beton’s positive contribution to advancing Indonesia’s strategic infrastructure projects.
For this project, WIKA Beton is responsible for supplying ready-mix concrete and various precast concrete products, including Pile Foundations, PC-I Girders, PC-U Girders, and A-Jack units. The efficiency of WIKA Beton’s supply chain and robust organizational structure have enabled the company to deliver the largest contribution to project advancement to date, with WIKA Beton completing 65% of its total scope of work as of early August 2025. This achievement has become the driving force for the consortium to accelerate the project ahead of schedule.
Notably, the project implements innovative solutions such as a layered bamboo mattress system, a soil reinforcement method applied in selective embankment areas with up to 13 layers. The elevation has now reached +5 meters above sea level, with total embankment heights reaching nearly 10 meters in certain locations. This approach has proven effective in expediting the construction phase beyond the targeted timeline. Preliminary results have also shown positive impacts in mitigating tidal flooding and enhancing connectivity between industrial zones and the port area en route to Demak.
The Semarang-Demak Toll Road project is financed through a combination of foreign loans and the State Budget (APBN). It is designed to address tidal flooding in Sayung, Demak, while also alleviating transportation congestion on the Pantura distribution route. Overall project progress reached 49.34% as of August 4, 2025 (W127), with Section 1 scheduled to commence operations in April 2027.
WIKA Beton is firmly committed to fulfilling its role as a strategic partner in national development by ensuring that every stage of work is carried out optimally to realize Indonesia’s future connectivity through reliable and innovative infrastructure.
