“Under the leadership of President Prabowo in this first year, we have witnessed a strong determination to uphold the spirit of that message, to make Indonesia a great and strong nation,” Muzani said in his speech during the MPR annual session here on Friday.
Efforts to reinforce national sovereignty, he explained, have been carried out by Prabowo through various programs in strengthening food security, energy security, national defense, and technological mastery.
In addition, the MPR Chairman noted that Prabowo has implemented programs in industrial downstreaming development, border area development, public service digitalization, and the empowerment of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), which have contributed to strengthening the people's economy.
“This serves as an important driver for creating an inclusive and resilient economy amidst global uncertainty,” Muzani remarked as he outlined Prabowo’s various achievements.
Therefore, he expressed hope that these programs would continue in order to achieve people’s prosperity.
“We should be grateful for the government’s achievements, which are noteworthy and whose benefits have begun to be felt,” he added.
To welcome the 80th anniversary of the country's independence, the Indonesian Parliament convened the 2025 Annual Session of the MPR alongside the 2025 Joint Session of the House of Representatives (DPR) and the Regional Representatives Council (DPD) on Friday morning.
President Prabowo was scheduled to deliver a speech presenting the performance of state agencies and a state address.
The theme of the session was "United in Sovereignty, Prosperous People, Onward Indonesia."
