On Wednesday, Baznas dispatched the first five trucks carrying 6,000 aid packages as the initial delivery phase.
"Thank God, all the aid is now ready and will be sent in stages over the next seven days. Starting last Wednesday, five trucks departed carrying 6,000 aid packages. This is our joint effort to continue helping our brothers and sisters in Palestine," Baznas Deputy Chairman Mokhamad Mahdum confirmed to ANTARA in Jakarta on Saturday.
He stated that the collaboration is a crucial step in ensuring aid reaches communities affected by the conflict.
All aid packages are currently ready in the warehouse and awaiting shipping.
The aid delivery process will be carried out with great care to ensure that the aid actually reaches the targeted recipients.
"Over the next week, deliveries will be made in stages according to field conditions. We are striving to ensure that every package reaches the people of Gaza, who are currently facing an acute food crisis," he said.
He further emphasized that Baznas will continue to distribute humanitarian aid in a transparent and professional manner so that every public donation is truly managed well and can be accounted for.
He expressed his appreciation for the Indonesian people who continue to distribute alms through Baznas so that various humanitarian actions in Gaza can run smoothly.
"We thank the Indonesian people for their trust and concern. This is proof that the donations entrusted to Baznas are truly being distributed, and our brothers and sisters in Palestine are benefiting," he said.
