Jakarta (ANTARA) - Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto, at the State Palace in Jakarta on Monday, inaugurated Police Inspector General Suyudi Ario Seto as the new Head of the National Narcotics Agency (BNN), succeeding Police Commissioner General Marthinus Hukom.

The structural change was formalized through Presidential Decree No. 118/TPA of 2025 on the dismissal and installation of top officials within BNN.

At the palace, President Prabowo personally guided Seto in taking the oath of office as the new BNN chief.

“In the name of God, I pledge my loyalty to the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia and I will exert my utmost efforts to fulfill my responsibilities to serve the nation and the state by implementing all applicable regulations while upholding the ethics that bind me in office,” Seto recited in his pledge.

He took the oath alongside other newly appointed leaders of institutions, including Commissioner General Eddy Hartono as National Counterterrorism Agency (BNPT) head and Vice Admiral (retd.) Didit Ashaf as head of the Java North Coast Authority, with Darwin Djajawinata and Suhajar Diantoro as his deputies.

In addition, Brian Yuliarto was inaugurated as head of the Mineral Industry Agency, while Suharto was appointed Deputy Chief Justice of the Supreme Court (MA) for Judicial Affairs.

Following the oath-taking, President Prabowo and the newly installed leaders signed the minutes of the inauguration before exchanging greetings.

Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka accompanied the president at the event, along with several ministers, including Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto, Coordinating Minister for Food Zulkifli Hasan, Defense Minister Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin, Agriculture Minister Andi Amran Sulaiman, and Home Affairs Minister Tito Karnavian.

Also in attendance were Speaker of the People’s Consultative Assembly (MPR) Ahmad Muzani, Speaker of the Regional Representatives Council (DPD) Sultan Bachtiar Najamudin, Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) Commander General Agus Subiyanto, and National Police (Polri) Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, among others.
