“There will be no prosperous people without a clean and just government,” he said in his keynote speech at the opening of the Apkasi Autonomy Expo 2025 at ICE BSD, Banten.
He reminded that district heads, mayors, sub-district heads, and village heads — being closest to the people — should fully understand the public’s daily struggles.
Prabowo said history shows that strong nations are built on the foundations of public welfare and government integrity.
He also underscored the need for local leaders to remain loyal to the people, the nation, and national values.

“True leadership must be realized through fair governance,” he said at the Indonesian District Governments Association (Apkasi) event.
He stressed that the principle of clean and just governance applies to all levels of government.
As an elected leader, he said he is bound by duty to uphold the Constitution and ensure transparent and fair administration.
“I must uphold clean and just governance. This is my obligation, and the obligation of all regional leaders. Without it, there will be no national success or prosperity,” he said.
Prabowo warned that corruption would obstruct progress and urged all leaders to show courage in self-reflection to build a better future.
“A corrupt government cannot deliver prosperity. We've lived with this for too long. Regardless of our party, we must be brave enough to self-correct,” he said.
