Commission I of the DPR held a working meeting on the state budget cycle with the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI). Several commission members and leaders were present and carried out their activities at the complex.
“The state budget is a cycle, and the mechanism must be on track. What will be discussed, we will find out from there,” said DPR Commission I Chairman Utut Adianto.
Other members of Commission I who attended included Dave Laksono, Sukamta, TB Hasanuddin, Gavriel Novanto, and Andina Theresia Narang.
The DPR is also scheduled to hold a meeting of the Legislative Body (Baleg) to discuss the draft bill on the Protection of Domestic Workers (PPRT).
Since August 25, 2025, protesters have gathered at the parliamentary complex to voice demands, including the abolition of what they described as excessive allowances for DPR members.
On August 28, 2025, labor unions staged another rally at the complex, demanding the abolition of outsourcing and rejecting low wages.
Later that day, additional groups joined the protests, sparking clashes. The unrest continued on August 29 and 30, prompting President Prabowo Subianto to instruct security forces to take firm action.
