Yesterday, the Jakarta Metropolitan Police and the Jayakarta Regional Military Command conducted large-scale patrols across Jakarta,” said Brigadier General Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko, Head of the Public Information Bureau of the National Police’s Public Relations Division, in Jakarta on Monday.
Trunoyudo stated that the Police continue to implement a range of measures, from preemptive to preventive actions, as well as law enforcement, to ensure public safety and comfort.

Trunoyudo also urged the public to be selective about the information they receive in order to avoid falling for hoaxes.
“Every piece of information must be carefully filtered. Then, we check the source. Of course, our friends in the media can help clarify any circulating information,” he added.
On Sunday (August 31), the Jayakarta Regional Military Command deployed a company-level unit to patrol Jakarta as a precaution against potential acts of anarchy and looting that had occurred recently.
The patrol began at the National Monument (Monas) in Central Jakarta and continued through areas previously affected by demonstrations, including Semanggi, Senayan, and surrounding areas.
The soldiers were equipped with bulletproof vests but carried no weapons, neither firearms nor sharp weapons.
